Ami McKay is the critically acclaimed author of three bestselling novels, The Birth House, The Virgin Cure and The Witches of New York. Her debut novel, The Birth House (2006), was a #1 bestseller in Canada, winner of three CBA Libris Awards, and nominated for the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award. Her second novel, The Virgin Cure (2012), was inspired by the life of her great-great grandmother, Dr. Sarah Fonda Mackintosh, a female physician in nineteenth-century New York. Her most recent novel, The Witches of New York (2016), set in 1880 New York City follows the lives of a trio of remarkable young women navigating the glitz and grotesqueries of Gilded-Age New York by any means possible, including witchcraft.

Casey Plett, Lambda Literary Award-winning author for her short story collection A Safe Girl to Love (2014), reads from her extraordinary debut novel, Little Fish (2018). The novel follows Wendy Reimer, a thirty-year-old trans woman, who comes across evidence that her late grandfather--a devout Mennonite farmer--might have been transgender himself.
